Quick recap of this year's event held 7/26 through 8/7/2015
Max number of pilots/sailplanes: 9 including one motor glider Total tows: 47 including two relights when the White Knob Mt. side of the valley died... Total distance flown: 17,200 km (One pilot does not post on OLC) Longest flight: 712 km, 2Z Stuart Larimore Farthest flight to the East - Yellowstone Park, 98 Noel Wade Meals to remember: Mexican Road Kill Stew, Becky Newgard, There were lots more great meals but this one just sounds good. Total days flown during regatta: 9 with one day " we should have flown!!" Pilots/crews from: WA, ID, MT- 98,50,KF,2Z,GG,V6,1I,NO,SN Accomplishments: 8 of 8 pilots flying on the same day achieved the Louis Stur Memorial Trophy Flight. This was a spectacular day and perfect for the flight. -A new raw speed for the Roger Frank 300K triangle trophy was achieved by Stuart Larimore- 2Z -at a hair over 90mph. The two fastest flights on a handicap basis were Brian Case -V6 in a HP-16T and 2Z in a ASW 27. 2Z won by .50mph. Come join us next year. Tom Boise, ID |
