summer soaring near Florence Italy

The Aeroclub Volovelistico del Mugello in Borgo San Lorenzo - Firenze,
Italy will be open all days for summer soaring activity from August 2 to
17. Visiting pilots with their own glider are welcome without formalities,
aerotow to 700m cost them 40 Euro. Flying on club two-seaters (ASK-21,
ASK-13, Twin Astir) is possible only in company of a club member.
Camping is not allowed on the field, however there is plenty of
accommodation in the vicinity, with a camping site 6 km away and several
hotels and farmhouses nerby. Firenze is only 20 km away, there is a lake
with swimming, sailing and canoeing facilities 8 km away, and many of
Tuscany's beauties (including the beaches) are just one hour drive from the
club site, so there's plenty to do for non-flying family members too.
