I have searched Google, YouTube and Vimeo and cannot locate any video of someone applying Mylar control surface gap coverings. If someone out there has videoed this could you please upload it to YouTube or Vimeo?
Thanks. I don't want to attempt this until I've seen it done. |

The videos have probably all been removed due to profanity regulations.

A few years ago Jay Campbell wrote a article in Soaring Magazine. It was well done with pictures. The article was in the November 2011 issue.

Not as bad as it sounds , take it slow and use a pencil and a long straight edge. Do not rush

Jays' article is very good. The only thing I change in his technique, is to get all the glue from the double sticky tape off by rubbing your thumb firmly on it that you can. Then clean the rest of it off with the 3m Adhesive remover.
If you soak it like Jay is suggesting then you can end up with big soft glue buggers that are hard to keep out of the aileron gap. Kevin 92 |

Thanks guys. I will download the November 2011 issue and try to keep the swearing to a minimum.
