Eastern PA Region 2 Ground School

Philadelphia Glider Council is holding a ground school on 4
consecutive weekends beginning January 31, 2004. The ground school is
open to any aviation inclined individual willing to make the effort.

Classes held on 1/31, 02/07 and 02/14 will cover instructional
material required for the Private and Commercial Glider ratings. The
Classes will be held at the Doylestown Public Library, Doylestown PA.
Each session will start at 0930 and end at 1630. A lunch period is
included.

The final class will cover advanced topics for XC, advanced weather,
off field landings and thermalling techniques. The bronze badge
written test will be administered at the end of the session.

The first three weekends will cost $60.00 and $20 for the final
session. Each student will receive handouts and a CD-rom with the
presentation materials.

email (preferred) or phone. We will accept walk-ins, but would prefer
to have an accurate count to ensure adequate supplementary materials
are on hand.
