year I would like to get my CFIG. Question is do I need an endorsement to take the CFIG written? Thanks, GB |

When a local FAA inspector went for his CFIG (he already was CFI everything else) he said that he had to take a short (25 question) knowledge test pertaining to gliders only. He should know. I'm still searching the regs on this. FARs are written by lawyers for lawyers. Tony V. |

I have had to take short "unofficial: written tests as part of the "oral"
before a practical test. This doesn't seem unreasonable to me. If someone can demonstrate an "official" written that is required before one can take the practical test, I would appreciate the reference. (Given the condition that one already has some sort of Flight Instructor rating) Allan "Tony Verhulst" wrote in message ... He has a Commercial glider. His question was "Does he need an endorsement
to take any written." My answer is no.
