Aero Electric Intros Four-Seat Airplane

Aero Electric Aircraft Corp. plans to build a four-seat version of its
all-electric airplane, the company announced at EAA AirVenture this
week. The Sun Flyer 4 will have a payload of 800 pounds for pilot and
passengers, the company said. “The four-seat airplane will have
operating costs five times lower than costs associated with similar
combustion-engine aircraft,” said George Bye, CEO of AEAC. “With four
hours of flying time, the versatile Sun Flyer 4 will appeal to both
flight schools and pilot-owners.” Spartan College, which has placed 25
deposits for the two-seat Sun Flyer 2, also made the first deposit for
a Sun Flyer 4. Spartan plans to develop a complete training system for
the Sun Flyer aircraft, AEAC said, including a course for airframe and
powerplant technicians that will feature specialized training for the
all-electric system.

AEAC has built a proof-of-concept prototype of its two-seat Sun Flyer,
which was on display this week at Oshkosh. The company says they plan
to certify the airplane under FAR Part 23. AEAC projects the energy
cost for Sun Flyer 2 will be only about $1 of electricity for each
hour of flight, compared to $25 to $65 per hour for leaded avgas. The
two-seat Sun Flyer prototype will soon begin power-on tests at its
home station at Centennial Airport near Denver, the company said this
week. It began taxi tests last year.

propulsion system. Lithium Ion batteries run the electric propulsion
system, which directly drives the composite propeller. Engine
performance is controlled by an electronic control unit which ensures
optimal use of the energy stored in the batteries. The electric design
features reduced cooling drag compared to a conventionally powered
aircraft and nose frontal area is reduced due to a smaller motor size
and cooling intake required. Propeller efficiency is improved due to
the utilization of additional blade area when contrasted to an

George Bye
Founder, Chairman & CEO
Mr. Bye is our founder, visionary, and aviation pioneer. He is also
Chairman, President and CEO of our founding company, Bye Aerospace.
Mr. Bye is the creative innovator behind the company with two decades
of experience as an aerospace entrepreneur and executive. He assembled
our team, our board, wrote the business plan and provides technical
and development guidance. Among Mr. Bye’s several aircraft designs are

Charlie B. Johnson
President
Mr. Johnson provides operational leadership for AEAC, and is retired
President and COO of Cessna Aircraft Company, the leading worldwide
manufacturer of general aviation aircraft. In addition Mr. Johnson was
President of ATG, which developed and flew the prototype Javelin jet.
Mr. Johnson also has considerable leadership and experience developing
an electric propulsion Cessna 172 research project and in 2012, Mr.
Johnson flew the converted electric powered Cessna. Mr. Johnson holds
an ATP rating with over 14,000 flight hours. He has over 20 take-offs
and landings in the electric Cessna 172 he helped develop. Previously
Mr. Johnson was a USAF combat pilot flying missions in the F-105
fighter in Southeast Asia.

Dale Eagan
Vice Chairman
Mr. Egan is an Associate General Counsel within Emerson Electric’s
mergers and acquisitions law group. Before that he was Global General
Counsel for American Appraisal, a financial services firm operating in
26 countries. Mr. Egan is a Director and volunteer pilot for The Woody
Williams Medal of Honor Foundation, where he has presented veteran
initiatives at the White House. He co-founded ValorCorps, a company
dedicated to placing veterans into civilian technology positions after
leaving the service. Mr. Egan has a bachelor’s degree in corporate
finance from the University of St. Thomas and a law degree from
Marquette University, with a concentration in corporate and
intellectual property law. His aviation passions include grass
runways, Twin Bonanzas, Navions, and backcountry seaplane flying.

Shari Goodstein Rossi
Director
Shari is Chairwoman and CFO of Eagle Air, Inc. a full concierge
charter company operating out of the New York City area. Shari is a
successful and prudent Financial Manager representing aviation and
real estate organizations in analytical, management and sales roles.
In addition to her continued role in her family’s Real Estate legacy
spanning three generations, she is a profit-focused expert in cost
reduction and budgeting for Eagle Air. Previously Rossi focused her
energy as a broker, manager and developer for Goodstein Equities and
various family-related LLCs from 1995 through August, 2013. She
continues to add value as a partner offering her array of expertise to
many continued endeavors in these entities. Ms. Rossi holds a
Chartered Market Technician designation from the Market Technician’s
Association. Ms. Rossi holds a Master’s of Science, New York

Mark Van Tine
Director
Mark Van Tine is Vice President, Digital Aviation for The Boeing
Company. In this capacity, he oversees a global enterprise comprised
of 4000 employees focused on developing and delivering intelligent
information solutions which optimize customer’s operations and
environmental performance. He also serves as the Chief Executive
Officer of Jeppesen, an information solutions company providing
products and services for aviation and marine transportation
industries around the world. He was named to the Jeppesen position in
October 2002, and became the leader of the newly formed Digital
Aviation organization at Boeing in October of 2012. Since its simple
beginnings in 1934, Jeppesen has transformed from being the leading
navigational chart company in the aviation industry to providing
intelligent information solutions to the global transportation
industry as part of the Boeing Company, the world’s largest aerospace
enterprise. Van Tine began his career in 1981 with Lockheed DataPlan,
a leading flight planning and weather services company located in Los
Gatos, California, which in 1989, was acquired by Jeppesen. He served
as the Managing Director of DataPlan from 1991 until 1995, before
relocating to Denver, Colorado to oversee Jeppesen's worldwide flight
information development, printing and distribution operations, and IT
organizations. He has spent his career working in a variety of
different organizations within Jeppesen, including flight operations,
customer service, navigation, and information technology. Van Tine
served as Jeppesen’s Chief Information Officer from 1998 – 2002. Van
Tine remains active in civic and industry relations. He is a lifetime
member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and has been a member
of the Board of Directors for EAA since 2015. Van Tine also currently
sits on the Board of Directors for the General Aviation Manufactures
Association (GAMA) and serves as Chairman of the Security Issues
Committee. Involved in public aviation education, Van Tine serves on
the Advisory Board for Cherry Creek Schools Aviation Technology
Program, and participates in an advisory capacity for the aviation
programs at both Metropolitan State College of Denver and San Jose
State University. Van Tine chairs the Jeppesen Aviation Foundation,
which honors the legacy of Captain Elrey B. Jeppesen by providing
support to educational institutions, organizations and students in the
aviation community. Van Tine also volunteers as a pilot to fly
participants in community programs supported by Jeppesen, including:
EAA Young Eagles, an aviation youth organization; CraigFlight, a
program to fly wheelchair-bound patients from Craig Hospital; and

Alexandre Couvelaire
Director
Mr Couvelaire is highly experienced aerospace executive and founded
Euralair 40 years ago. Euralair became in France a major corporate jet
operator utilizing the Lear Jet, Citation, Falcon business jet
aircraft, and commercial airline, utilizing variants of the Boeing
737. In the 1990's, he became President, CEO of AOM French Airline
operating a fleet of DC10, Airbus A340, MD83, until its full
privatization. In the 1980s Euralair purchased Mooney Aircraft, a
well-known GA manufacturer. Later, Mooney joined with
Socata/Aerospatiale to design the TBM 700 high-speed single-engine
turboprop. Mr. Couvelaire is a pilot with 7,000 flight hrs.

Engineer, pilot, and accomplished business leader with 25 years’
experience in the commercial and government Aerospace Industry. Mr.
Beresford leads the development programs with a broad background in
prototype development, manufacturing, aircraft modifications, ISR
systems integration and special mission operations support. Mr.
Beresford also brings a wealth of experience in organizational
development and growth management and has led dozens of proposals on
major acquisitions resulting in more than $3.5 billion in competitive
awards. Mr. Beresford holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from
University of Arizona and is a private pilot with single and

Mr. Gregoire is an innovator and champion of general aviation, and the
founder and former Chairman of Redbird Flight Simulations. He is the
former Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Dell
Computer Corporation. Prior to joining Dell in 1996 he spent 10 years
with PepsiCo, Inc. Serving as Vice President of Information Systems
for Pepsi-Cola Co. Mr. Gregoire is a director on General Aviation
Manufacturers Association and a member of the AOPA's president's
council. He is rancher and an avid aviator with ATP and CJ Business
jet type rating, and he holds a BA in Political Science from the
University of Missouri-Columbia.

Craig Fuller
Director
Fuller, Chairman of the Fuller Company, began the Washington, DC
portion of his career with the Reagan Administration in 1981, where he
served for eight years in the White House, first as Assistant to
President Reagan for Cabinet Affairs, then as Chief of Staff to Vice
President George H.W. Bush during the second term of the
Administration. He co-chaired the President Bush Transition, then
entered the private sector in the nation’s capital, leading public
affairs consulting firms and associations, and serving as the officer
of a major consumer packaged goods company. After serving as President
and CEO of AOPA, Fuller remained in the Washington, DC area to lead
The Fuller Company, a strategic consulting group. He remains active in
aviation policy matters and was recently appointed to the FAA’s
Management Advisory Council. In addition, he serves as a director of
the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, where he is a member of the Executive
Committee, and is Chairman of Redbird Flight Simulations.

Director & General Counsel
Mr. Knudsen functions as our in-house attorney through Bye Aerospace.
He is Executive Vice President and General Counsel for the Bye
Aerospace and is in private practice as an aviation attorney. His
responsibilities also include FAA oversight and corporate risk
management. Previously he was co-founder and President of Adam
Aircraft. He was a U.S. Navy pilot flying the A-6 Intruder and the P-3
Orion and has logged more than 150 aircraft carrier landings. Mr.
Knudsen holds a B.S. in Business from the University of Colorado and a
JD from the University of Puget Sound, School of Law. He has practiced
as a trial attorney for the FAA and Department of Justice. He holds an
ATP certificate with Lear Jet and Citation 525 type ratings, and has
logged 3,800 flight hours.

Diane’s experience includes service on several corporate and advisory

manufacturers, as well as the world’s leading business aviation
maintenance, repair and overall companies. Pete retired from the USAF
in March 2005, with his last assignment as the Director of the USAF
Congressional Budget and Appropriations Liaison. During his 26 year
USAF career, Pete flew F-15s and A-10s, while commanding several large
operational fighter units.

Colonel Chesnut is a former Bye Aerospace director and is a Rockwell
Collins senior businessman. Scott was previously the Vice Commander of
the Air Force District of Washington, where he had oversight of
homeland security and interagency operations for the Washington, D.C.
National Capital region. He received his BS degree in Aviation
Business from Arizona State University, an MBA in Aviation Business
from Embry Riddle University, and an MA in National Security Strategy
from the National Defense University. He serves on the board of Silent
Falcon UAS Technologies.

Major General (USAF, retired)
Major General Forsythe (USAF, retired). General Forsythe is senior
Vice President at Bye Aerospace and Vice Chairman of Silent Falcon
(Bye UAS). His responsibilities include military and government
liaison in the Washington D.C. area. General Forsythe’s last USAF
command was with U.S. Central Command that covered USAF operations in
Iraq and Afghanistan. General Forsythe recently retired as a Boeing
777 Captain from United Airlines with more than 16,000 civil flying
hours. He was a fighter pilot with 4,500 military flight hours in the
F-105, T-38, F-4D, and F-16, and is a 1969 graduate of USAF Academy.

Ms. Jahn has extensive background in operations, production and supply
chain as well as corporate startups and turnarounds. She is Chairman
of the Board of DeltaHawk Engines, a member of the board of the Light
Aircraft Manufacturers Association, and serves or has served on other
corporate, nonprofit and advisory boards. Formerly Ms. Jahn was the
COO of REMOS Aircraft, a German manufacturer of light sport airplanes
with operations in Germany and the U.S. She was the former CEO of
Mooney Airplane Company, bringing it out of bankruptcy and
re-establishing sales, manufacturing, and customer service. Ms. Jahn
was co-founder and CEO of Aegis Analytical Corporation, a manufacturer
of analytical software for the pharmaceutical industry that was
recently acquired by Accelrys for $32 million. She holds a commercial
pilot license with instrument and seaplane ratings, and is an active
participant in cross-country air racing.

Jack Pelton
Pelton has over three decades of aviation experience and joined Cessna
in 2000 as Senior Vice President of Product Engineering. He was named
President and CEO in 2003 and Chairman in 2005, retiring in 2011.
Prior to Cessna, Pelton was Senior Vice President of Engineering and
Programs at Fairchild Dornier in Germany and held related executive
positions for 20 years at Boeing, formerly Douglas Aircraft. He is a
former member of the Board and Chairman of the General Aviation
Manufacturers Association, where he also served as Chairman of the
Flight Operations Policy Committee. In addition, he served on the
Associate Member Advisory Board of the National Business Aviation
Association. Pelton currently serves on the Boards of the Smithsonian
National Air and Space Museum, Corporate Angel Network and
Experimental Aircraft Association.

Bill Rankin
My goal is to serve as a board member or advisor focusing on strategic
planning, business development and fund raising. My management
experience spans start-ups to large international corporations with
public, private and government organizations. I have achieved
leadership positions as Chairman/CEO of an entrepreneurial clean tech
public company, General Manager of an internally created subsidiary of
a fortune 100 industrial equipment manufacturer, Division Chief of a
Department of Defense research laboratory and Project Manager at a
top-tier business consulting firm. I'm a team builder and change agent
with a "get-er-done" sense of urgency. I recently retired as
Chairman/CEO of UQM Technologies, Inc., a public company traded on the
NYSE MKT Stock Exchange. UQM develops and manufactures electric
motors, generators and electronic controls for electric, hybrid and
fuelcell powered vehicle propulsion, vehicle auxiliaries and
distributed power systems. I joined UQM in February 1992 as Executive
Vice President and was promoted to President in 1996, and Chairman/CEO
1999. I transitioned UQM from an R&D company to a high-volume
production company in support of the emerging vehicle electrification
markets. I was instrumental in raising over $90 million in private and
secondary public offerings, winning a $45 million grant from the U.S.
Department of Energy as part of the American Reinvestment and Recovery
Act, relocating the Company to a state-of-the-art manufacturing
facility and building a strong technical and executive management
team. UQM’s customers have included major international automobile,
truck, bus, industrial and military vehicle manufacturers. During my
tenure with the Company, UQM’s market cap increased from $25 million
to over $250 million. I was previously employed by Deere & Company (16
years) and was responsible for Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM)
Systems for Deere's complete line of industrial, agricultural and
consumer equipment and vehicle products. I established and was General
Manager of Deere Tech Services, a new business venture that provided
CIM systems and services to clients including Jaguar Motor Company,
GM’s Buick, Oldsmobile, Cadillac Division, the Gates Rubber Company
and the Boeing Corporation. Prior to Deere & Company, I worked at the
U.S. Army’s Rock Island Arsenal and established and became Division
Chief of the Simulation Technology Division reaching the grade of
GS-15, developed large-scale computer war gaming models at Booz Allen
Hamilton for the Department of Defense and served as a lieutenant in
the U.S. Army including a year with the 1st Cavalry Division in
Vietnam earning two bronze Stars. I earned my engineering degree from
the Colorado School of Mines, majoring in Engineering Mathematics with
a minor in metallurgy. I later received an M.S. in Systems Management
from the Florida Institute of Technology. I have made numerous
presentations at national conferences and symposia and have often been
called upon as an expert in the emerging vehicle electrification
market. I am currently engaged with several companies assisting them
with strategic planning and business development.

Rober Stangarone
Mr. Stangarone has more than 35 years of global experience in aviation
and aerospace corporate affairs, marketing and communications with
world class companies that include Embraer, Cessna, United
Technologies’ Pratt & Whitney and Sikorsky units, Rolls-Royce,
Fairchild Dornier, and Safire Aircraft. He is a commercial pilot with
multi-engine and instrument ratings and is type rated in Citation
business jets. He currently owns a Cessna 162 Skycatcher. A former
journalist, Bob has been widely published in trade and general news
media (including Washington Post, International Herald Tribune and Los
Angeles Times) and was prominently featured in “Business Lessons from
the Edge,” a book on high achievers in business.

Chuck Taylor
CHUCK TAYLOR is President of SyberJet Aircraft, which is owned by
Metalcraft Technologies (“MTI”). Mr. Taylor joined MTI in 1990 where
he has been instrumental in the building the company to the industry
leader it is today. His experience of over 24 years at MTI has taken
him through various management roles. He served as VP of Marketing,
Program Management and Structural Assembly and serves as corporate
Secretary. In 2011 he began serving as the VP of SyberJet Aircraft, a
company purchased by the owners of MTI. SyberJet manufactures the
SJ30, a seven-passenger business jet. In January of 2013, Mr. Taylor
assumed the position of President of SyberJet Aircraft. He earned a
B.S. degree in Business Administration from Southern Utah University
and a MBA from Utah State University. He currently serves as President
of the Board of Trustees for the SUCCESS Academy, an Early Collage
High School dedicated to preparing students for careers in Technology,
Engineering and Mathematics, a gubernatorial appointment. He also
serves on the academic advisory board of the Walter M. Gibson Collage
of Science and Engineering at Southern Utah University.

James Wreyford
Mr. Wreyford is Founder and former President of ANTEK Industrial
Instruments Inc, an online analytical instrument manufacturer in the
petroleum petrochemical and food and beverage industries. He holds US
patents in Ultraviolet Fluorescence technology. Mr. Wreyford is
currently President of The Wreyford Family Foundation and a board
member of The W Foundation. He holds a B.S. in Industrial Distribution
from Texas A&M University. Mr. Wreyford was an active Civil Air Patrol
member in Texas Wing squadrons 1975-1982 and 2005-2012. He holds
private pilot with instrument rating with 1,500 flying hours.
