I'm trying to get a Compaq Aero 1530 with PocketNav to receive NMEA
output from a Colibri logger so that it can display the moving map. When I tried it for the first time in flight the PocketNav message was "No NMEA Data" and it went into simulator mode. Can anyone tell me what sentences to select in the Colibri's setup menu in order to get this to work? ....George B. |

Try this (..from memory, email me if this doesn't work and I'll get the
actual devices and walk you through it)-- *before connecting the devices, go to the "make a new connection" page and set one up--call it whatever you like, don't change any defaults *physically connect the two devices *tap the icon for the new connection you just created, say yes/ok to the windows that come up *tap the keyboard *type NMEAenter data should start scrolling on your 1530 screen *close the connection. Don't worry, the Colibri won't know you closed it and will keep spewing data *Open PocketNav Brent "George B." wrote in message om... Hi George,
I'm sorry for the delay getting an answer to your question. I sell and support Glide Navigator II which is the latest version of what was Pocket-NAV. I forwarded your question to Chip Garner (GN II author) and his response is below. "GPRMC message for location, GPGGA if possible, this gives the GPS altitude and allows differential final glide altitude." You may want to consider getting Glide Navigator II as there a several nice new features added since the days of Pocket-NAV such as the highlighting of reachable airports on the map screen.
