Bob Hoover and Chuck Yeager at the Soaring Convention?

This is my suggestion I am sending to the SSA, to have SSA do every
effort to have those two pilots come to Soaring Convention and to award
both with an honorary glider pilots awards.

Bob Hoover and Chuck Yeager are glider pilots, they flew and landed
these machines as gliders: P38, P51, Shrike Commander,B25, P47, P59,
P80, F82, F84, F86, F100, X1, X2, X3, I am sure I've missed some.

Bob Hoover and Chuck Yeager made so many deadstick (powerless) landings
that they became glider pilots out of necessity.

Bob Hoover and Chuck Yeager should be invited to be at the Soaring
Convention. They are very special to all of us.

This would be a great honor for us glider pilots to have them among us
for whatever time is possible. They are such a great men.
Can you imagine them speak at the banquet!

I can not imagine the joy we would have from meeting those two pilots.
I just finished reading the book "Forever Flying" by Bob Hoover, it is
riveting book about great
Pilot we all know and saw at the air shows.

We all would love to have them both come and be with us at the SSA
Convention.

Could you please give me support with this idea and send email or call
SSA about it.

We have to move fast, not much time left.
Please can someone help me to rewrite/edit this note to make it sound

Chuck Yeager is already a glider pilot; he told me
that he once owned a Schweizer 1-26. (He also flies
an ultralight.)
