Default Aircraft tracking laser

A company called ThinkGeek is now selling a aircraft tracking laser. It
hooks up to the internet via a number of sources online to identify
aircraft in the area and then tries to target them. It plugs into your
computers USB port. Not a bad price at that!

That is a good price, I think I'll get one for my son for his birthday. He
loves airplanes!

This looks like evidence of today's date.

Heh heh. My clue was...
"Arrives with a voucher you can redeem to get 5% off your first fine of
$25,000 or greater! "

This triggered a memory of being told two or three decades ago that a
precision laser aircraft tracking radar, in combination with cooperative
corner cubes on the aircraft to increase the radar return, was used to
carry out precise performance verification or certification tests on
commercial aircraft in connection with aircraft purchase or delivery.

Anyone know if this is still the case?

I just bought one of these with the JPG upload plugin. I can now put
grafitti, pictures of Rap artists, political messages, or even curse
words down the side of a jumbo. I understand they have under devlopment
some beta software that will simulate other air traffic onto clouds. I
can't wait!!
