I have a fuel line check valve between my axillary electric fuel pump
and the mechanical one.(I don't know if it is a "bleeder" type..not sure what that means). Anyway I discovered a fuel leak during my pre-flight when I turned on my backup electric fuel pump on my 0200A Continental engine. The fuel pressure backed up to the outflow on the mechanical fuel pump where the leak was found at the outflow side fuel fitting. I figure this could only happen if the check valve is not doing its job unless a little back flow is normal. Anyway I'm going to replace the fitting as the sleeve is the source of the recent leak. Are check valves servicable? What typically goes wrong with thim? Thanks for your thoughts on the matter.. Larry |

A replacement check valve is about $40 from Wicks or Spruce.
