Nearly fifteen years ago, the 401TFW / 614TFS deployed from our home at Torrejon AB, Spain to Doha, Qatar for the Gulf War. The New York Times named us 'the Forgotten 1000' but we compiled 1303 sorties and 3.7 million pounds of ordinance delivered, in 42 days, by our pilots in our 24 F-16's.
This is our 'new' home on the web: http://www.lucky-devils.net Please stop in, take a look around, and let us know what you think. If you were in Doha, sign the Roll Call, or if you know someone that was, please let them know where we are! Stay Lucky! Mike Kopack |
