Folks,
I've got to say that I'm humbled by the message traffic I've seen here of people organizing GA to provide much needed support to the relief efforts after Katrina. If I weren't on a different continent and only flying a Pitts, I'd join you. I'm glad to see so many people willing to put a skill and asset they have to use without question (that I've seen raised yet) of who will cover the cost or what they'll be doing. It's restoring my faith in Americans in general after some pretty poor publicity in the aftermath, and only re-affirming what I already knew about the GA community's human nature. Thanks to all of you and I wish you all luck in whatever work you're able to perform. Hopefully this may also shed some good light on GA in the Sep 11 shadow and lighten up some of the nonsense you've all had to put up with from the Feds and others. Good luck, Shawn |
