For A&Ps and others,
Homebuilding ones own plane is very educational. Right now I am learning about the vacuum system in particular the vacuum pump. My engine, an O-320-E2D, can take a 211CC or a 215CC. I haven't been able to fnd the difference in the literature. Does the difference in these two models have to do with the number of instruments the pump can handle? Second, I can't seem to locate a rebuild kit for the 215CC only new units with no core exchange. Could someone point me in the direction of a rebuilt 215CC as I have a core and could save some $$ with a rebuild? -- John "Ebby" Ebensperger Hatz Classic s/n37 Camden, NY |

If I am not wrong Rapco will give you something for your 215CC when you
buy a new one. Check that out. The new ones are only about $280. |

The 211CC has been superceded by the 215CC. The latter has some
enhancements over the former (cooling fins, wear port, come to mind). |
