As usual, that's the question I'm hearing from relatives. Also as usual, I
have no friggin' clue what to tell them -- I need nothing. Therefore, it's time to open the topic up to the opinions of this newsgroup. What do *you* want for Xmas this year? What's the latest, greatest, coolest, must-have aviation thing that I should want under my tree this year? I'll list a few things that I'm not likely to receive, just to get the ball rolling: 1. XM weather for my Lowrance 2000c (According to Lowrance, this is supposedly "in the works" and "to be ready to roll out at Sun N Fun '06") 2. A new faceplate for my Narco CP-136M audio panel (yes, I'm STILL looking for one...) 3. A DVD recorder that will let me quickly and easily transfer 15 years of home movies onto DVD.... Can you add to the list? What do *you* want for Christmas? -- Jay Honeck Iowa City, IA Pathfinder N56993 www.AlexisParkInn.com "Your Aviation Destination" |

One gizmo that our eldest daughter and her husband gave me a while back is a
LED head-band flashlight, which is very comfortable to wear under the headset. Should the lighting fail at night, it provides excellent illumination on the panel. It is also a very convenient hands-free light for refueling our C172 in the dark. Highly recommended. Happy Holidays! So I suggested that she pick out something I would have loved at age ten, give it to a toy drive and send me a card with a note telling me what it was and why she picked it out for "me". Of course she's my mom, so she'll do that AND send me something. But at least I'm off the hook for making a list! -- Ben Jackson http://www.ben.com/ |

I also would like an airplane, perhaps a Diamond DA-42 or a Caravan on
floats. And um, world peace. |
