Default Stripped Long EZ airframe - buy it cheap or it goes to the landfill

There's a stripped, formerly flying Long EZ for sale at KFUL. If he
doesn't get a buyer by the end of the month he's going to cut it up
and dump it.

It's a good looking plane, workmanship ranges from good to very good.
Pictures and more information are here.

He'd be happy with $10k. He might take less.

If I were ready to cut it up and dump it, I'd be
asking a lot less than $10K--or the $14K in the
ad. In fact it would be better to _give_ it away
to someone than to have to do the work to cut it
up and carry it out, then clean up the hangar from
the fiberglass sawdust.

When he gets serious about getting rid of the
thing, the price is going to go down quite a bit,
or the saw is going to come out.

Cutting it up would insulate him from future lawsuits; it's been done before
for that very reason.

Selling it as airplane parts would also do the same. If there are 10k
worth of other parts betides the fuselage then maybe he'll get his
price. Otherwise I'm sure he will chop it up before he gets that kind
of money for it.

That ought to be of great relief to those companies that make vacuum pumps,
alternators, avionics, propellers, engines, and other airplane parts.

Usually it's because the owner has a very small penis. ANYONE can sue
you for ANYTHING at ANY TIME. Nothing you can do about it. Homebuilders
do not get sued for "product liability" generally because they have no
product liability insurance. Unless they are Bill Gates they are a poor
target.

The real fix for "the product liability crisis" which the GA
manufacturers brought 99.99763% on themselves) is-outlaw product
liability insurance.

Whats the difference if he gets sued for liability when he gives the
project away or sells it, it's still in someone elses hands.
