Default Soaring in China Followup

I have not been able to fly during my trip and I won't be able to before I
return, but I thought I'd post this bit of followup in case anybody is
still interested in the subject.

I did get a reply by e-mail from the Datong operation. They offered for me
to come visit, but they're hosting a parachute competition for the whole
month of October, which apparently means no soaring. I'm not quite
flight-starved enough to travel a couple hundred miles just to *look* at
some gliders, so I decided to stay home on this one.

For anyone else who might want to go, the e-mail address on their web site
(which is http://www.dthk.com.cn/ for anyone who needs reminding) does
work and they do reply to it, although they took their time with me so
don't get impatient.

I have no idea if anyone reading their e-mail understands English, as my
exchange was carried out in Chinese with the help of my wife and some
Google when she wasn't around, but it would be worth a try.

I believe this combined with my previous posts contain about all I know on
the subject, but if anyone wishes to attempt to extract more information
from me, feel free to let me know.
