I have posted a trivia challenge on my club's blog. I gave the members
first crack at solving it, but no one has succeeded yet. Hence the wider invitation... http://ncsa-buzzard.blogspot.com/2007/03/challenge.html Johan Larson |

No. That movie segment used a Schweizer 1-23 and was filmed at the North East Gliderport in Salem NH USA. It's a golf course now - sigh. Tony V. |

I have found this picture of this glider: http://www.musee-dufresne.com/coll/coll3-5.html -- Michel TALON |

The actor's name is Georges Descrieres.
Not sure of the movie. Would guess "Two for the road" 1967? And yes it is a C800, famous glider in France in the 50's before the arrival of the Wassmer "Bijave" in 1965. I soloed in the Bijave but remember seeing a C800 on the wall of the hangar of the soaring club I was flying 30 years ago... Richard ASW19 Phoenix AZ |
