The lift fans seem like a good idea, but, I'd hate to be on board if one of

Jet aircraft seem like a good idea too, but I'd hate to be in one, if the
engine failed, or the wing broke off, or the controls froze, or the landing gear wouldn't come down properly, or.......... It's like anything else, it has to be properly designed so that the chances of failing are minimal. Reliability isn't why lift fans didn't go into production. Ron "Scubabix" wrote in message ...
