US AIR FORCE cadets have been raping their female classmates at an
elite Colorado academy for years, ignored by their Pentagon masters,
an official report has revealed.

A “chasm of leadership” extending from the campus in the foothills of
the Rocky Mountains to the Pentagon near Washington helped to create
an environment in which sexual assaults “became a part of life” at the
school.

In May, nearly one fifth of the academy’s 660 female cadets said that
they had been victims of at least one assault or attempted assault.
More than 7 per cent had been raped or had suffered an attempted rape.

Despite this, Mary Walker, the US Air Force general counsel, avoided
