Default Thanks Ed Rasimus

Ed;

I finally found your book,I stumbled onto a Borders at Sunset and
Vine in Hollywood. Lucky for me it was the day the place opened for
business and they had your book on the shelf. Great stuff,I am
awaiting and hoping there will be a chapter two about the F4 days.
Regards,
Frank M.Hitlaw;

Ed, I enjoyed your book a lot (and am glad I was a submariner during the
late unpleasantness). One thing struck me: many of your early missions were
flown with 2x3000lb bombs. Why was that? That loadout looks 'way suboptimal
for the kinds of targets you were pasting.

Who am I to contradict Robert Strange McNamara regarding a shortage of
suitable ordinance during 1966?

Speaking of pilot books, Brian Shul had a booth at the Nellis show this
last week and was selling special editions of his book for $425 dollars.
I didn't have the heart to tell him I read it for free at the library :^p

Brian has always been in his own separate world. I worked with him for
a couple of years at Holloman in the AT-38 Fighter Lead-In program.
This was before his "sled" years. Lots of health issues were going on
regarding the burns and scarring. Good guy, but a seagull when it came
to flying. Had to throw rocks at him to get him airborne.
