Default towball from CA to convention or midwest needed

I'm working to save an old wood glider that is currently in California
on a good open trailer. I'm hoping to connect with someone driving to
the convention where I could meet it or driving across the country
through Iowa. Due to the open trailer care would need to be taken
with the weather and road conditions. Timing not critical. Cost
fairly critical
