I flew in the Connie many times during my tour with "The Blues". The last I knew ,the Connie was cut for scrap at Davis Mothan AFB several years ago. The Connie was a step up from the C-54 we flew in for years prior. The main drawback to the Connie was loading a spare engine and all of the associated gear required to support the team while on the road trips.
