SPOT messenger free for Glider Pilots w/ service purchase

I got a free Spot messenger at Oshkosh several weeks ago. They were
running a promotion for anyone who signed up for 1 year of service and
was an EAA member.

I talked with Rahul Athavale at Spot and talked him into extending the
offer to glider pilots for the next week.

If you want to get one, call Spot at 866-651-7768 and tell them you
want
the EAA promotion. (Theoretically, you have to be a member of the EAA
but Rahul said that they will wave this).

The promotion is that you pay the first-year's service fee (which
comes
to around $150), and you get the device for free. Otherwise, the
device
costs $170.

I have no stake in this; just tried to wrangle the same deal I got for
everyone else.
