Continuation video of yesterday's flight. A compilation of my
landings ranging from: Normal Landing Soft Field Landing touch and go. Simulated Engine Failure Go Around full stop normal landing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtO3tt3pStw All landings begin with final except for the first one and the engine failure where I begin that turning base as well. Comments most welcomed to improve my technique here or on the video! |

Simulated Engine Failure http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtO3tt3pStw No criticism, just curios. Did you cut short to final (by turning from base more quickly) because you would expect to do so in this scenario or did you do it for the obvious safety reasons? |

Yes, I did this as if it was the real deal. I can always "lose altitude" by slipping and landing longer should I have still found myself too high on short final, but most importantly, I didn't want to get out of "gliding range". No such thing as "standard pattern" on a simulated failure, you do what you have to do to bring it down safely. |
