This is the next in a series that I posted a couple of years ago and maybe
it's a good time to post them again. Allen Stening left the sleepy, coastal town of Cowell in South Australia to join the RAAF in June '41. He trained to fly and was sent to Europe and eventually shot down in Yugoslavia. His story is told by his wife in her book ' ''Nab", Memories of a young Spitfire pilot'.
