I have been asked to handle the sale of a pair of original 1933 AVRO
aeroplane sales catalogues for a customer. These appear to be from a very small number produced containing hand typed pages and original photographs attached to card. Due to the military use of these planes it is possible that these catalogues were sent only to Commonwealth or "friendly" Governments. In researching these catalogues I have discovered that the main English AVRO factory, Chadderton, suffered a fire in October 1959, and most of the early records were destroyed. It is difficult for me to assess a value for these items and so at present I am looking for expressions of interest.
