Was it down to individual Bomb Wings to decide if the insignia was displayed
on the starboard side nose or not ? I've got the port side view of a 93rd Bomb Wing B-52 which shows the SAC insignia against the diagonal star bar and above the aircraft for reference is the 93rd Bomb Wing insignia. On another page, a photograph shows "Lucky Lady II" of the 93rd Bomb Wing from the Starboard side with the star bar but no insignia. Many thanks, Richard. |
