Looking thru 43.13, I see splices that use fishmouths and I see others
where the outer sleeve is simply cut at a 30* angle. Can someone discuss the logic of why they use one cut over the other? - Mike |

I read somewhere, maybe Bingelis, that the fishmouth makes it easier
to weld if the tubing splice isn't a tight fit. Sorry no reference for that, I just filed it away after reading. Bob |

The fishmouth is for when you don't have enough room. - Mike |
