Well your webpage makes an argument for an annual but little else.

Gotta sell my wife on what there is to do nearby for her.

well, it's a residential airpark. the taxes are low, you buy a one acre
lot for approx 30K or so, build your fancy house and hangar, and keep
your plane right at your house. schools are good for the kids, air is
clean, and flying is uncontrolled airspace.

plus stocked fishing lake, community horse barn, safe rural indiana
location 60 miles from chicago.

fly in and visit, public use airport C98 on your chicago sectional.

How big is the total airpark?

Who owns the land off the ends of the runway?

September 15th 05, 12:11 AM
the total development is about 35 acres (the building lots average
about 1 acre+)

to the north is a state game preserve---the kankakee river flows
through this. to the south are farm fields and east are farm fields.

very quiet safe area, and the setup has been in place for 20+ years.

Didn't or doesn't the airport have a _water_ problem, as in too much when it
rains?

the soil is sandy so percolation in good. some lots will need mound
system septics.

even in the hardest extended downpour the paved runway is always
usable, and the grass runway will only be soggy at the north end for a
few hours. there is 9 ft of fall from the south to the north end of the
runway so there are no standing water issues on the runway.

however, none of the houses here have basements due to high water
table.

there has never been flooding here since the subdivision was started in
the early 80's.

pleanty of links on the page to find out more about the airport and airport

But to sell the "town" , more local information is needed.
