Piper J3 cub training in the Bay Area? by
Little Endian
Is there any FBO in the Bay Area that rents out Piper J3 cubs for
dual ? Attitude Aviation at Livermore used to have one till very
recently but its gone.. nothing showed up on google either. I am
trying to go for a tailwheel endorsement and the cub looks like a
fascinating airplane for that purpose.

Cost of Cockpit Instruments by
Le Chaud Lapin
Hi All,
I am a student for my private license, and during my last ground
school session, I was having discussion about how glass cockpits might
be made cheaper by using commoditized components. For example, some
GPS units cost $1000's US, but a friend of mine help found a company
that made the...

What's it gonna take? by
Jay Honeck
....to fix the airlines?

- Major airports (or "hubs") are way over-crowded, beyond capacity
- Minor airports (or "spokes") are becoming over-crowded, too
- GA airports (like...

Time to earn license for professionals by

Hello all,
I just wanted to see if other CFIs and pilots have been seeing the
same trend I have. I've been flying with a student for a little over a
year now, and she's almost ready to solo. It will take her another
year to get her ticket, for a total of 2 years, and probably 100 - 120
hours...

What GA needs by

This is a follow-on to the various discussions on the future of GA.
Why aren't the kids who grew up with cell phones and iPods not
interested in aviation?
