Thoughts on a 1966 Cessna 172G? by
Malcolm Teas
Ok, so this isn't quite a fabric wing bush plane I was talking about
before, but it looks to be a good IFR platform, and it's seems in good
condition so far. Yeah, it's like Dad's stationwagon, but 172s are
good well-known planes too. We're going up this weekend to take a
look up close and see...

Interior shops in Atlanta area by
Mike H
We need to renovate the seats and perhaps side panels
of our Archer II based at McCollum (RYY). We plan to do
this while it's down a few days for the annual in June.
We can pull the seats and panels and take them somewhere
if that helps... I'd be interested in hearing of the
experience of...

172 Nosewheel Struts Leak Nitrogen by
jls
I rebuilt one and the best A&P on the field rebuilt the other one, on 1966
and 1957 172's. Neither will hold nitrogen. What's the secret to getting
them not to leak.
I bought a complete O-ring kit from Trimcraft in Wisconsin. My personal
A&P told me that only one or two large O-rings were...

(VSOT) Any Beancounters Around??? by
Jim Weir
To make a long story mercifully short, RST is looking for a person to do the
accounting function. While there are hundreds of thousands of beancounters in
the area, there are darned few that understand that all small airplanes aren't
yellow with a small bear painted on the side {;-)
We don't need...

Replacement Cessna 152 panel by
Paul Folbrecht
Where can I get one? I looked at places like Aircraft Spruce and found
nothing.
My panel is cracked and chipped in numerous places. It looks like crap.
I know you can buy replacement panels without the holes drilled for
chearp. I can take care of the holes.

Any Cessna 400 series owners out there? by

Autogas STC Paperwork by
Al Gilson
Our 1964 Skyhawk has a placard by the fuel cap indicating that it is
approved for unleaded auto fuel. However, I don't have any paperwork
showing that it has an STC for autofuel. Any ideas on how I could
research this information? Or...is the placard all I need?
Thanks.

FAR Reference - Self Fueling by
Ben Smith
I was just reading both the land lease, and hangar keeper agreements for the
now City owned Morey Airport. (C29), and they both state:
"The Lessee further agrees not to transport, or cause to be transported,
onto airport premises, gasoline or other flammable fluids for the purpose of
self-fueling...

Service Manual - 50 hour inspection by
O. Sami Saydjari
I would like to start doing my own 50-hour inspection. I would like to
have "the service manual", which I understand specifies the procedures
for the 50 hour inspection. I own a Piper Turbo Arrow III. Do I get
the manual from Piper, from TCM, or is their one for the plane and one
for the...

Tossing factory EGT, replacing with JPI or similar by
Ben Jackson
I understand that if I had a CHT, and it had a redline (I don't have one
at all, probably because the PA-24 doesn't have cowl flaps) I would need
to keep my CHT or get something certified to be a primary CHT.
Are there any rules regarding EGT? The one I have is pretty useless. It's
an analog...

LIghtweight starter recommendations for PA24-250? by
Chris Kennedy
I'm coming up on annual time for 24P, and as usual I'm planning to take
advantage of the fact that the thing is taken to bits to make some
improvements. On the list this time around are new fuel cells, new gear
harnesses and switches (since there's no evidence that they've ever been
replaced and...
