Re;Gliding in Myanmar by

Nione of the replies was quite what I had in mind!
The website concerned was NOT a history of Burma website,
it was in fact an up to date site advertising sports
etc that are available here. Gliding was mentioned,
but with no details. I'm well aware of US AND British
ops here inWW2, but I was...

Turf Soaring Mid-Air, Acro Boxes, Etc by
Rick Brown
I have flown at and with Turf Soaring for 32 of their
36 years. I was present when the mid-air occurred,
heard the impact, looked up and witnessed the aftermath.
I went to the scene in case first aid could be of use.
I also 'ran interference' between Roy Coulliette and
the press, becoming the...

Cessna towplane by

Contact Cessna. There are factory approved drawings
for a Schweizer towhook installation. There is a charge
for the drawings, but once you own them, you can install
the towhook with nothing more than a logbbook entry.
Since it is factory approved additional equipment,
and not a modification, no...

Jet Glider Sparrowhawk by
Mark James Boyd
OK, what the heck. How about a superlight, turbine powered,
short wing, aerobatic, under $40K aircraft that'll
do 100 knots under full power, burn 5 gal/hr at 50 knots
in level flight, and climb at 500+ ft/min gulping
20 gallons/hr?
Prepare for SWAGs (Scientific Wild Ass Guesses)...
Here's what...

Solvent save for markings by
chris
Anyone know what solvent is safe to use on the markings on my glider?
There are some spots to be removed on the red nose markings.
I've removed some old lettering off the gelcoat with Acetone and
lacquer thinner, so I know those will destroy the markings. The
lettering may be lacquer.

Competition rules summary? by

I've downloaded (and tried to read) the four sets of competition rules from SSA (National/Regional/FAI/Sport), but find myself falling asleep before reading them enough times to understand what they're trying to say.
Is there a terse, "simple English" version of the rules somewhere? ... a simple...
