LS1-f neo by
[email protected]
This one caught me by surprise: DG announced the LS1-f neo on St. Valentine's Day, 14 FEB 2017.
http://www.dg-flugzeugbau.de/en/dg-aircraft-news/ls1-f-neo-fliegt/14428
Is this all new?
Fiberglass?
Carbon Fiber?
Other?
New, or rebuilt old LS1-f?

Electronic Compensated Vario - opinion by
[email protected]
I want to purchase a Electronic Compensated Vario for a glider without the plumbing for a TE tube. I do not want to add the plumbing :)
I don't need fancy - nor navigation or way-points....... just a good audio Vario :)
Any experience out there????

Near encounter with airliner detected on PowerFlarm by
Steve Koerner
This past Saturday my flight out of Estrella took me about 10 miles NW of Tuscon class C at 11,200 ft with my Trig transponder on and blinking replies to radar. I was northbound at 90 - 100 kts. I observed an ADS-B target on my PowerFlarm display and on ClearNav display coming directly on a...

Komet Trailer by
[email protected]
Hi all,
I have recently taken a significant upgrade in trailers for my Libelle from a cigar tube trailer to a Komet. We adjusted it to go from a Discus to a Libelle and it is so much nicer to rig and de-rig out of. Trailers matter!
I have two questions, if I have to reweld a support bar on the...

Each side of the landing gear of the Pawnee is fastened with 3 bolts. Each
fore and aft outboard bolts connect through 2 sets of tabs welded to the
lower fuselage longeron. Our right hand gear is slightly loose at the
forward attach point . Either the holes in the 2 tabs are worn out-of-round...

Warrenton Soaring Center Reunion by
Jim Kellett
The Warrenton Soaring Center operated out of Warrenton Airpark, a grass strip in Fauquier County, Virginia for years until 1991. It's now the home of a popular skydiving company and several somewhat unique airplanes.
Glider pilots who flew there (or anyone interested in Virginia's soaring...

OLC Search Question by
[email protected]
I've been doing some research on best times of year to fly different glider locations. (I understand the data is a bit sketchy because it only covers those that choose to post to OLC.)
Does anybody have a simple way to search flights by aircraft type? I want to see how certain gliders fare during...
