Ventus C refinish, wing templates? by
Mike N.
I am thinking about doing a refinish on my Ventus C.
I am wondering if wing templates are available?
Also I'd like to cut down some of the cost by doing most of the grunt work myself. Under the watchful eye and coaching of a knowledable refinisher.
Is there anyone I can go to who would could...

Excessive flarm warning on Oudie 2 by
Nelson Howe
I have a flarmcore connected to an LXNAV Flarmview 2 and an Oudie 2. When I thermal with another Flarm glider, the Flarmview alerts me to its presence and then stays quiet. The Oudie 2 makes a continuous aural alert and displays a red traffic warning. It will not stop. The only solution I have...

Ventus CM starting problems by
[email protected]
For those who own Ventus Cm: have you ever measured the voltage on the starter when it is running?. Mine, with fully charged battery, while electric starter is running, voltage on battery fall out to 10volts, and on starter I measured only 6 or 6.5 volts. I have a voltage lost of aprox 2 volts over...

Butterfly vario wind indication by
Ian Wright
The wind direction/speed info on our butterfly vario is only working
intermittently. When no direction and value is given it just shows WIND
N/A. Sometimes it shows STILL AIR. All other functions seem to work
just fine. Any ideas much appreciated?

Butterfly traffic display: firmware update available by
Dave Nadler
I've updated the Butterfly traffic display firmware;
fixed a number of bugs and it now works properly with
newer FLARM protocol. Lots of Butterfly displays were
purchased with the initial batch of USA PowerFLARM cores.
Special thanks to Kirk, Dan, Uli, and Cliff for the help
testing numerous...

Visit From A Great Guy by
Bob Youngblood
Yesterday I landed the Pawnee and noticed a guy standing next to a vehicle speaking with one of our tow pilots. The closer I got I could see that it was a spitting image of one of my late old friends. I could hardly hold back my comments, "you look exactly like your father", it was the son of E9,...

CallAir A9-B muffler by
David Cleveland
Do any of you tow guys out there know where to find a muffler for a CallAir A9-B?
I'm pretty sure the exhaust system is the same for either engine that came with the A-9B. It's probably the same for the A9-A as well, but I'm not sure. This particular airplane has a Lycoming IO-540-G1C5.

Starting SeeYou by
Tony[_5_]
I have been having a lot of trouble lately getting SeeYou to boot up on my computer. Naviter suggested I disable antivirus and try using SeeYou Cloud. They like to suggest the cloud. I prefer that the actual software just work, but I feel I am getting old fashioned.
Has anyone else had trouble...

question about 303 Mosquito canopy operation by
[email protected]
I’m building a 1-pc canopy for my HP-16 and I like the 303 Mosquito hinge method of unequal length arms. I’ve seen photos of the canopy but don’t understand what prevents the fwd hinge links from sliding fwd in the slot prematurely and striking the fuselage. Do the springs that assist in...

Grob 104 Main Wheel Brake Cable Repair .. by
[email protected]
Landing after a nice cross country, I had fortunately come nearly to a complete stop when the brake cable yielded at the brake handle. The wheel brake has never been one to stand the glider on its nose, but perhaps I was subconsciously attempting to do that .. ?
Upon brake cable I nspection, it...

This looks very nice, fairly new.
I don't know anything about these planes; can you soar them or do you need to be under a Cu-Nim to go XC?
