return, but I thought I'd post this bit of followup in case anybody is
still interested in the subject.
I did get a reply by e-mail from the Datong operation. They offered for me
to come visit, but they're hosting a...

plug.....getting it ready to start laying up mold side 2. Suddenly a
bird flew right through the doorway, swooped right over my
head........and crashed into the...

Off Topic - aviation curiosity by
Gary Emerson

years what looks like a Cessna 182RG orbiting within sight of my house,
typically in the evenings. I'm guessing 3000 AGL, constant ~3 minute
turn rate over a fixed spot for several hours straight. It appears to
have a small...

FLARM Statistics by
John Galloway
Does anyone know of a source of any statistics that
might indicate the effectiveness or otherwise of FLARM
in reducing the rate collisions between FLARM fitted
gliders in those European countries in which it is
in widespread use?
Thanks in advance.

Is there anyone out there using this system in their glider?

In Topeka Kansas, the SCCA is running the Runoffs. This is THE big race of
the year if you are an SCCA Club Racer. It's also the last race for a
small, underfunded, old and slow team. My race mentor and good friend Charlie
Kuhlmann, 75, is hanging it up after 686 National events, 27 runoff...

New Soaring Video by
Paul Remde
Hi,
Bill Liscomb has put together a nice 15 minute long soaring film called "Out
and Return". This little film does of great job of showing "a day in the
life of a glider pilot" - from pulling the glider out of the trailer, to
aerotowing, flying an out and return flight and landing back home...
