Paul Remde
Hi,
At the request of a WinPilot user I have added WinPilot polar parameters to
my Polars web page. I also pulled a lot of data into my page from the data
provided by Carl Herold and displayed on the WinPilot web site. I have also
received data from quite a few pilots from around the...

Cambridge, SeeYou, and OLC by
Ray Lovinggood
A friend uses a Cambridge model 20 (or 25?) gps and
made two flights last Sunday. The first flight didn't
last long and he took a relight. When he used SeeYou
to submit the flight to OLC, it was rejected (I don't
know if SeeYou rejected it or OLC) because, according
to him, 'too much time...

NAVMAN 3450 question by
RW
Does anyone have experience with the Navman 3450 GPS Navigation
Sleeve for IPAQ? I'm specifically wondering if lat/long coordinates
can be directly entered into the unit. From the literature, I get the
impression that you must enter an address or intersection name. Are
there any other PDA/ GPS...

Minden: Best part of season for XC flights? by
NF
At what time of year should one go to Minden for long distance XC?
Should i expect thermals or wave? I prefer thermals due to the fact that my
wave experience is minor.
Would early to mid august be a good shot?
And finally: Are there any statitics available on the net?
TIA

Duo vs DG 1000 by
jorgie

1/ The open part where the rear pilots feet come through and kick you
in the elbow!
2/ The lack of stowage for the front pilot, I did have a camel back and
it rested very nicely on the canopy frame
Other than that a great well balanced...

Dennis Wright - Cross Country Pilot by
Larry Pardue
Soaring Society of America Executive Director, Dennis Wright, came to SSA
from powered flight but made a commitment to get a glider rating. He did
that quickly after taking the position.
This afternoon, Dennis made the most significant flight a glider pilot can
make, in my opinion. He flew...
