Renter's Insurance? by
Mortimer Schnerd, RN
How many of you guys carry renter's insurance? I never have in the past but I'm
older and wiser now and have been thinking about it. Specifically, that offered
through AOPA.
How much hull insurance is necessary? I'm pretty sure the FBO insures their
aircraft but surely there's a deductible I...

Rec.Aviation NorthEast Mini Fly-in by
[email protected]
The weather was perfect for the Rec.Aviation Northeast Mini Fly-in
this morning. Rick and I left KPOU at 10:40am and landed at Skyacres
44N just before 11:00am. Several planes were leaving so we were able
to tie down just outside of the Windsock Cafe. I went inside the
restaurant and immediately...

Where is Udvar-Hazy? by
Jay Honeck
I've been using the trial version of Keyhole (a VERY cool program,
available for download at http://www.keyhole.com/) to explore Dulles
International, in a vain attempt to figure out how in the world I'm
supposed to taxi to the Udvar-Hazy Center.
See...

Wondering about Beechcraft V-tail Baron/Two engine Bonanza? by
tigglys
We have a little toy model that looks like a V-tail Baron. Was such a
thing ever made? It doesn't quite look like the Super "V" because there
is another set of windows. (We were getting ready to list it on e-bay
and aren't sure what to call it.)
The toy is a Sky Skipper by Gabriel/Hubley.
Any...

Mass Production of Aircraft by
[email protected]
We could have inexpensive aircraft. They do not violate the laws of
physics. However it probablly does violate laws of human nature.
You must have, first, a large potential market. Consider: Wichita.
In the benighted Kingdom of Sedgwick, no one flies. The overwhelming
vast majority of aircraft...

Anyone for Breakfast Sunday Morning at Sky Acres (44N)? by
Journeyman
It was hashed out over the last month or so. Several of us picked
this Sunday morning (June 5th) to meet for breakfast at Sky Acres
just Northeast of Poughkeepsie, NY. Nothing formal, just a chance to
hang out and meet some of the faces behind some of the postings. Kind
of like a micro-lite...

Leatherman saved the day by
Ben Jackson
I found my nose gear door detached from the linkage while preflighting
at Boeing Field. In theory all I needed was a phillips head screwdriver,
but I had to disassemble the end of the linkage to get to it, which
required removing a cotter pin. Leatherman to the rescue!
Of course now I'm thinking...

Gasahol Update by
RST Engineering
Taken directly from the EAA website www.eaa.org and then to the autogas STC
page:
In the opinion of EAA, and in the interest of most conservative operations,
the following observations are offered:
a.. If alcohol content is less than 1%, fuel will probably have no effect
on aircraft.

Please wait - I need to reboot by
Hilton
Hi,
I was flying (on American) from LAX to SJC today on an EMR 140 RJ. We get
pushed back. After about 5 minutes, the captain says: "We need to reboot
the computer. The emergency lights will come on for about a minute. This
happens all the time. It's perfectly normal." He rebooted, fired up...
