Lycoming SB for soft pin plugs by
Robert M. Gary
I have an IO-360-A3B6 with 1000 SFNEW in 1998. We pulled a cylinder
and the pin plugs where gone (we guessed this from the oil analysis).
The mechanic says he thinks he remembers some sort of SB put out by
Lycoming that there was a defect in the plugs and that they were made
too soft. Has anyone...

Annual IA Software by
RST Engineering
OK, after fifteen years or so, TDATA has priced themselves out of my
pocketbook. I found a little company back in South Carolina called Zook
Aviation and their product is priced fairly and I like the little demo they
sent me. I also like the mom'n'pop attitude of the company.
However,...

tie down plates by
David Lesher
I know I've read of the 3-spike plates used for tiedowns @ Oshkosh.
Does someone sell same? A friend is putting up a tent/outbuilding,
and screwing those augers into his solid clay is No Phun .

Looking for the first plane by
Cecil E. Chapman
I won't be getting it for a couple of years and whatever I picked would be
an older plane. It will be for (or slightly before) my 50th birthday.
I wanted to ask what the group thought about a Cherokee 140 as a first
plane? In talking with my fellow CFI's most of them think I would find the...

Anyone building new open cockpit planes? by
Charles Talleyrand
Is anyone manufacturing new open cockpit aircraft? I'm aware of the
Waco Classic Aircraft Corporation, which makes new WACOs, but that's
it. Is the WACO the only new built open cockpit aircraft around?

PS Engineering PM3000 Intercom? by
One's Too Many
Anyone here have the PS Engineering PM3000 stereo 4-place intercom?
Is it really worth $200 more than the comparable Flightcom 403?
How well does it sound with music input from an iPod?
It's TSO'ed, so my A&P/IA is having much less heartburn about
installing it... seems the Houston FSDO has...

Big Bertha thing rocket by
El Maximo
Big Bertha is a rocket designed and sold by Estes. I had one when I was a
kid. The thing was damn near indestructible.

EUROCONTROL - General Aviation Survey 2007 by
CrossPoint
Dear Friends,
I would like to invite you to participate in the General Aviation
Survey 2007. There are many risks one can face as a pilot or passenger
in the busy European skies. One of those is mid-air collision. Many
factors may cause it. A major one is airspace infringement. The survey
is being...

RejeX update by
Dan Luke[_2_]
The rep's at the RejeX booth said it is not necessary to wait the full 20
minutes to wipe it off as the directions state. Soon as it dries to a haze,
wipe it off. Waiting longer makes it harder. They also said it may not work
if applied over waxes or other coatings like Pledge.
They also...
