Ventus B
The only place I have found to research the differences between the
above ASW20 glider models is on the Sailplane Directory website. From
what I can tell the B model differs from the "A" by a slightly heavier
airframe, boundary layer control blowholes on the wing, a higher auw,
and different...

no aerotow at MEV today due to fire by
ken ward
the airport manager shut down aerotow this morning at 10am; no other
operations were impacted. High Country is at Ely currently, and Soar
Minden has but one tow plane, so aerotow capability is already limited.
they've negotiated a temporary agreement for the duration of the fire,
but it limits the...

Most hawks circling low are looking for rodents, not lift.

But many times I have shared thermals with Hawks at high altitude.
How did they get there if not by working thermals at low...

Advice needed- 1-34 tow hook replacement by
Kurt
A friend of mine has a 1-34 and he needs to replace the tow hook and
release arm. Question is...how? The floor is riveted in place and
access is just about impossible. There is a very small access hole in
the floorboard, but all it lets you do is see the nut on the bolt.
HELP!
Thanks
Kurt

Trailer hitch inadvertant disconnect by
Bill Daniels
This is a fork of the Cobra trailer brake thread.
I encountered an unnerving situation a couple of weeks ago. I was backing
my Komet trailer into a new parking position near my house. This required
moving the trailer less than 15 feet slightly uphill. For such a short
move, I didn't think the...
