FAI Logo by
Charlie Papa
We are considering a couple of flags for the entrance to our club, and
for one we would like an FAI flag. I wrote the FAI, and they replied
that they were no longer available from their shop. So now we are
looking for either an alternate supplier, or for a good logo file.
Any help with locating...

Cost to join SSA? by
gldrgidr
What's a full membership in the SSA cost?
I went on the SSA site and they won't tell you untill you have filled
out all the forms.
Is it so high that they are afraid to scare people off?

Logan contest reporting now only on Soaring Cafe by
Frank Paynter[_2_]
I have been asked by the contest management here at Logan to stop
posting my reports on the official SSA site, so henceforth these
reports will be available only on SoaringCafe.com. Apparently I was
using the ‘U’ (Unlandable) word a little too often for their taste. I
freely admit that a lot of...

Icom A6 issues - shocks, interference by
Eric Greenwell[_4_]
I recently bought an Icom A6 transceiver for use as a crew radio, and
have discovered several issues with it. Perhaps someone can make
suggestions for improving the situation:
Shocks
My wife was driving the motorhome while I was flying. After about an
hour that included a few transmissions and...

OLC Graph Question by
V1[_2_]
When looking at the “Flight Details” page for specific flight, there’s
a graph in the bottom left that shows the altitude trace. Many of the
graphs just have a blue line (showing altitude) with a green shaded
area at the bottom (showing ground level).
But others (I’ve seen this for multiple...

battery power regulator by
Tony V
An advertisement in QST magazine caught my eye and I wonder if some one
has used something similar to this in gliders(we don't need 25 Amps at
12 Volts):
http://www.mfjenterprises.com/Product.php?productid=MFJ-4416B
The idea is to keep the voltage supplied to your electrics constant even
if the...

Looking for an affordable glider.... by
xTrainwrecKx
Hello,
I am currently finishing up my 7th combat tour and will be returning
home in a couple of weeks to Las Vegas. It has been awhile since I
have been able to do something for myself, and I want to "reward"
myself with a beginner glider. I have been searching everything on the
net as far as...

Etiquette in a Thermal by
Walt Connelly
Okay, let's hear your views on what proper etiquette might be in a thermal. We all know the first man in decides the direction of the turn and we should all thermal at the same speed. The Glider Pilot Handbook seems somewhat unconcerned with the rules and etiquette and the internet information...

PowerFlarm at Uvalde? by

I find it odd that there's no posts regarding the first-time use of
PowerFlarm in a US contest. Surely they're all flying with them.
