Bell No-Mor Flats in Tailwheel by
YourNameHere
Has anyone tried using the "Bell No-Mor Flats" foam rubber material in a
tail wheel tire as a safety backup. It looks like the 1.75" diameter
cut to the correct length might be a good safety backup if the tail
wheel tire gets punctured.

Icom IC-A14 detailed questions by
Eric Greenwell[_4_]
I need to replace my 24 year old crew radio. The current radio sits in
it's charger base 98% of the time, with the charger power on. At home,
it's connected to an external speaker that's in my wife's sewing room
and to an antenna on the roof; in the motorhome, we use it's internal
speaker, but...

Looking for LS7 Ballast/Trim Blocka by
WrongWay
I recently purchased an LS7. On days when I eat only a light
breakfast, I'm awfully close to the lower limit of 165lbs for weight
and balance purposes.
There is a vertical post way forward near the nose that is set up to
accommodate a stack of 2.5kg / 6lb ballast/trim blocks, but...

BJ-4 Information? by
ContestID67[_2_]
Someone at the gliderport brought in a 1969 version of "Joy of
Soaring". It was fascinating to flip through the pages. Many things
are the same then as now.
There were several pictures of gliders; Diamant, Standard Libelle,
1-26, 2-33, Sisu, Skylark 4, Dart, Kestrel - all of which I have heard
of...

Vertex VXA 220 by
Fred Blair[_3_]
I have one of these hand held radios and there is an "E" that is
flashing on the top, left of the screen and it keeps it from accepting
any other key strokes. You can enter a new frequency, but you can not
save it and lock the keyboard.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Fred Blair

Anyone have a scan of the Rico manual? I have a Rico vario in my

(somehow) a week ago, I can't seem to find it again... have been

Brad[_2_]
Does the LK8000 software work with the Cambridge 302? Interested to
know if the LK8000 running on an iPAC 310 can get accurate wind data
from the 302.

I'm 4" short and need more compensation...yes this is gliding related :) by
Bruno[_2_]
Let the jokes begin... :)
My Cambridge L-Nav's backup battery ran low and I switched it out.
The settings got reset to default. Now field elevation reads 4"
millibars too low. For example, 6,200 feet the awos said pressure was
29.99 and my Cambridge read 29.54 for that elevation. On start up...

Need new cushions by

We need new cushions, front & back, for our SZD 50-3 "Puchacz"
glider. The original ones have been eaten up by the sun. Can anyone
recommend a shop which can do the job ? Thanks,

UPDATE: Great Thermal Soaring SW U.S. - 4th July Weekend by
WaltWX
Hi Jim,
Today, Fri 07/01 was the first day of a building warm core high
pressure aloft. Traditionally, there's a lot of subsidence capping
inversions which makes it very poor day. Noted a flight out of Bishop
where the best altitude on the Whites was only about 13,500 with a lot
of close ridge...
