Hinge gap tape by
Grider Pirate
I'm looking for suggestions for taping the hinge side gap of a Grob. I
typically un-tape for the annual inspection of condition, clean, then
re-tape. There is very little movement at the hinge. In the past, I
used Tesa brand Tissu tape that Wings and Wheels sells (about 2/3 of
the way down this...

SeeYou 4.01 update? by
JS
You may want to delay installing this update.
Seems that the link for the update 4.01 you will be advised of at
startup actually links to the version 3.95 installer. The software
then becomes an unregistered version of 3.x.
Paul Remde has already contacted Naviter, but it's after business
hours...

Inadvertant PTT - Where do you put your hand? by
ContestID67[_2_]
I saw this item in another thread and found it interesting.
Do you actually tow with your hand on the release? What happens at
100 feet when you hit a good bump and accidentally release?
I have had exactly one PTT (premature termination of tow) at about 3
feet AGL when I had my hand on the...

Light Sport pilot glider (add on) by
[email protected]
I've just had a second light sport pilot airplane, ask me about
getting the endorsement for light sport pilot glider.
What's the deal here?
Has anybody actually done this? Are there any glider instructors out
there who would do this sign off...any instructors who would do the
check ride?
Any...

SeeYou task leg distance calculation question by
Tuno
I have this question posted on the Naviter forum, but I thought I'd
troll here for any bored SeeYou fans. (ZL?)
SeeYou (3.9x and now 4.00) is calculating the length of the final leg
in my TAT from the point of the last turn to the center of the finish
circle. Since I have "Reduce leg distance"...

Redirection by
Dan Marotta
Killing time before breakfast and heading to the airport and have a
basic computer question.
It seems that, with this site, clicking on a link opens a new tab with
a redirection notice. It's annoying to have to stop what I'm doing,
change tabs, and click on the link again.
Being new to google...

Need Input On Rudder Lock by
[email protected]
I'm trying to build an inexpensive yet effective rudder lock for an
assembled GROB 103 or TWIN ASTIR. Have tried two or three approaches
but not happy with any thus far. Needs to be rugged, lightweight, and
user friendly (think club environment). Any ideas?

Paul, since you sell V2000's, and I intend to buy from you anyway, do
you know if it will work on Static or is TE an absolute requirement

TE is just static that changes with airspeed, so the vario has no idea whether...

Well, obviously it's expensive, and there are probably other solutions

With the correct cable can XcSoar send a new task to my Model 20

as to track, etc.?
Thanks,
