Flight Review Question for CFI's by
Steve
Do they try to make it hard to understand?
My last flight review was 4/11/09. The FAR's (61.56) say; "No
person.......each pilot must have complied with the requirements of
this section since the beginning of the 24th calendar month before the
month in which that pilot acts as pilot in...

Cost of parachute repack .... by
Ron Gleason
Here in Northern UT the master rigger many of us used to perform
parachute repacks passed away. Two other people have been identified,
both take a week or so to perform the job with one charging $60 and
the other charges $75.
I do not mind paying for good service, and with this only needed to...

Whatever happened to the Viking 104 sailplane? by
Mike C 17
In 1960 there was a fiberglass sailplane made by Viking Aircraft in
Edmonton, Alberta. It was nice looking with good performance for its
day. Does anyone know what happened to the sailplane and the company?
It must have been one of the earliest glass ships.
thanks.

Hydraulic Brake Problems Mystery! by
John Sullivan
I too have experienced the problem you are having with my
Ventus which was manufactured in 2004. It took me a long
time to figure out what was wrong. Eventually I simply
worked my way through the system to discover that
everything free as it should be except for the master cylinder
plunger...

Checklist formats by
brianDG303[_2_]
I find my checklist is expanding, and there are some people who have a
sort of 'flip book' attached to the top of the glareshield and I was
wondering if someone could share some details. Other ideas also very
welcome,
Brian

5606 Aviation Brake Fluid by
John Sullivan
Standard aviation brake fluid is know as "5606". I comes in a
red can. Any aircraft repair facility will have lots of it and
might sell a pint when needed. It is what use in my airplanes
equipped with Cleveland brakes.

Who is thrmlseekr@aol by
Dave Springford
Over the past few weeks, I have received a couple of emails from
thrmlseekr@aol that contained nothing but a link that likely leads to
a virus infected site.
If you are thrmlseekr@aol, check your computer, you have a virus that
is sending messages to people in your address book.
