New ASK-21prices by
kirk.stant
I'm trying to build the case for my club to add a new (or mildly used)
K-21 to our fleet. Anyone have info on current prices? This would be
for delivery in the US (Right Coast)?
Feel free to email me directly if desired.

PowerFLARM Mode S question by
kirk.stant
PowerFLARM is supposed to have the capability to detect and display
Mode S 1090ES position data on its display. How many aircraft
(Airliners, bizjets?) currently send out 1090ES data?
This is for the US, of course.

Video of off-field landing from cockpit by
Bruno[_2_]
Hey everyone. We had a fun weekend up in Utah with many gliders up in
the air enjoying the amazing fall colors and mountain scenery. At the
end of Friday's flight I decided to extend the flight and go play out
in the weak wave lift in the valley northeast of the Logan airport. It
was fun until it...

Arcus Mass Balance / Control forces by
Peter F[_2_]
Hi All,
DG claim that the heavier controls on the DG1000 / 1001, compared to the
Duo are due to changes in the flutter requirements imposed on them by the
FAA. They claim that any new designs would have to meet these new
requirements and so the light control forces of the Duo would be unable to
be...

double wide trailer by
Tony[_5_]
i know its been done a few times. I've heard of a husband/wife duo of
Libelles that had a double trailer. Also I've seen a double 1-26 open
trailer. Leah and I only have one pickup but two gliders and tend to
like to go places together. I'd like to solicit opinions (dangerous
thing to do here!)...

Cockpit Video -- ridge soaring to the Mt Washington wave by

I was so completely enthralled by the visual effect of soaring the Mt
Washington wave area on the weekend of October 9th, I bought another
video cam in the hopes of being able to capture some of it the
following (and final) weekend of our annual wave camp. I lucked out
-- mother nature was good to...

OLC 2011 by

The new OLC season has started. There are a few rule changes everyone
should know about.
The FAI-OLC score is now a 30% bonus on the OLC Classic score, and
this combined score is now called OLC-Plus.
For the OLC classic score, legs 5 & 6 are no longer devalued. All six
legs are scored...

OLC Scoring for 2011 by
robert hunter
I am quite confused by the 15 km start rule. I find the only
reference to motor-gliders, not to tows, and only to "league" flights.
Can someone refer me to the source for the concern?
thanks,
Robert (666)
