Hi,
There is an interesting and unique new soaring product available from Tasman
Instruments. Tasman is known for the successful V1000 variometer. The new
FP10 Flight Pack is a small flight data module which turns a V1000
variometer into a speed-to-fly variometer. A PDA with soaring flight...

ACCESS DENIED! by
GARY BOGGS
Thank you all for responding to my last post about glider operations
at other airports. I am refining that request. I am looking of any
written operational plans for glider operations at public airports
with a single runway. The airport owners at my airport are not
letting me stage our gliders...

We have a few Vertex handhelds with the standard wall chargers. Does
anyone know if there is a cheap add on trickle charger module for
something like this? I have something like that from Ace RC for a RC
plane. It wired directly into the output of the standard wall charger
and it charges at the...

2003 Ford Explorer for sale by
rich
I bought the Explorer new, it's a 4 door, 4 wheel drive automatic. The
car has less than 10,000 miles on it. It comes with a towing package,
never used, a Yakima rack, not installed, battery disconnect for
storage, car cover still useable, and extended warranty to 60,000
miles or 3/5/11. The car...

Launchpoint 200 by
Ramy
Is anyone using Launchpoint 2000 logbook successfully with Vista? I've
been using it for years on my XP computer but it will not work on my
new Vista notebook. It keeps complaining about COMDLG32.OCX.
Unfortunately the software is no longer supported.
Otherwise, any recomendation for a good logbook...

Ka-6 Headrest by
vontresc
Hi, I am looking for some suggestions for a headrest im my Ka-6. Mine
didn't come with one, and from various pictures I've seen it looks
like there should be some padding on the slanted bulkhead right under
the turtledeck.
Thanks
Pete

SPOT on by
Tuno
On Saturday (May 10th) a few of us raced out of Sun Valley, AZ. Two of
us were unable to make it out of the valley to the task area over the
high ground, but the one who did, GW, was carrying a SPOT.
We were able to monitor his progress in the air conditioned confines
of the FBO. Very cool...

Looking for Atlantic Aviaition - Refinishing? by
[email protected]
If anyone has any information on a company called "Atlantic Aviation"
in the U.S. it would be greatly appreciated. My LS-3 was refinished by
this company in 1993 but I can not find any information in the
paperwork that came with the glider. It looks like a proffesional job
so I'm assuming that this...

SPOT Messages? by
[email protected]
When configuring a new SPOT there are three areas in which you can
include custom messages. The OK message is easy, "ABC is still flying
and OK", the Help message is easy as well, which might be, "ABC has
landed out at the coordinates provided and is OK. My cell number is
xxx xxx xxxx." The 911...

L-Nav Speed to fly Indications by
Fred[_4_]
I have an L-Nav connected to a Model 20 GPS and also a Winter
variometer. While at Marfa I had several oppotunities to fly some
long distances without having to thermal. What I noticed is that the
speed to fly commands are really off. The other variometers seem to
track each other and the...

The latest post documents an April flight with Stefan Luetenegger in

new course. This 16 minute Quicktime video is posted in an ipod
