Libelle 301 flap hookup by
Brad[_2_]
can someone explain how the Libelle H-301 flap control is hooked up at
the fuselage. Or, even better, does someone have any pictures or a
rigging illustration they could e-mail me. How is the flap hinged? is
it center hinged like the H-304 or lower hinged?
Thanks!
Brad

SSA has now paid in full all interest assessed by the IRS by
[email protected]
I am happy to report that SSA received in Hobbs today, 1-7-08,
confirmation from the IRS of the amount of interest being assessed for
the late payment of payroll taxes for the third quarter of 2003. By
oversight, the IRS had not provided us with the figure for that
quarter when they advised us...

Follow up: Troubling story etc by
[email protected]
Hi Gang
I received a large number of responses to my posting both on RAS
(25) and privately and would like to respond to some of the issues.
Firstly I would like to reiterate that the reason for my posting was
to make pilots aware of not paying attention to critical
considerations, situations can...

Competition Ground Crew by
AK
The last time I flew in competition was about 20 years ago in Europe.
I have never flown in competition in the US, but I am certainly going
to change that this year.
How often do you go to competition without a ground crew and if you do
how do you deal with this situation? Are contest organizers...

Partnership Contracts by
GM
Hi all in US-glider land,
we are in the process of forming a three-way partnership in a glider.
Is there a standard legal document covering that sort of partnerships,
that can be used?
How are your partnerships set up? Would like to hear about it.

Rodent Deterrent? by
rlovinggood
I opened up my trailer today and found a live mouse in the cockpit.
Naturally, there was a lot of mouse poop in the cockpit and in the
trailer. I had made at least one mistake of leaving a good supply of
crackers and granola bars in the cockpit and up front in the trailer.
Little bugger had a...

Cleveland...Or Tost? by
Paul Hanson
A Happy New Year to All! I am thinking about getting
a hydraulic disc conversion wheel/brake for my SZD-59.
I have not heard anything bad about Cleveland setups,
and have not anything bad the Tost equivalents either.
Both setups can/have been done. Both being about the
same price (read expensive),...

Soaring under the Bravo? by
Don Byrer
I soar at 67D, Reader-Botsford, ~22nm SW of CLE (Cleveland OH), along
the approach to CLE's rwy 06 . Our 67D field is 800'MSL; the 40/80
shelf of CLE's Class Bravo is ~2 nm NE of the field.
In the past we've easily dealt with this by towing to the S and W,
usually to 3K AGL/3800'MSL.m We also...

Book recommendations on weather please by
smithcorp
G'day
I'm a student glider pilot, just post-solo, looking for a good book on
meteorology for gliding that my wife can give me for my birthday.
Since Wallington's Meteorology for Glider Pilots is out of print and
available copies are prohibitively expensive, I'd appreciate
recommendations for other...

History of OLC?? by

I am creating a presentation on OLC for our club's annual banquet. I
would like to present some material on OLC's history, but I can't seem
to find very much. I have the wikipedia entry, but it is quite
brief. I also looked around on the OLC site, but couldn't find
anything there either. Anyone...

Parowan offers not only outstanding soaring with plentiful landing
