[email protected]
We all are on a lookout for a good ideas to improve a state of affairs

caught my eye as a pretty simple and possibly effective way to
increase the treasure chest of any national gliding
organization...including...

Bungey Launching by
Chris Ellis
The Midland Gliding Club (UK) still launches, when
conditions are suitable, by catapulting gliders from
our west facing ridge.
Are we the only dinosaurs left on the planet?
We are curious to find out if any other clubs still
have this facility, how often it is used and when was
the last time.

Specialty Tape Question by
Doug Hoffman
I am looking for a source for a special kind of tape that I saw used
on another glider. I don't know the generic name, but this tape is
applied somewhat permanently to both surfaces that will receive normal
gap sealing tape. I'll call it "anti-damage tape". The stuff I saw
was 1/4" wide, very...

FOR SALE: Cambridge 302A by
ContestID67
Was only used for one season and only for a few flights. Currently
part of a self contained battery powered unit but it would be a simple
task to remove it and place it into your instrument panel. Price
dropped to $700 (OBO).
See http://geocities.com/jhderosa
Thanks.

SOARING IN SCOTLAND by
[email protected]
Some time ago, I had a post here on r.a.s. asking about soaring sites
in the Lakes District in the U.K.. Big change in plans, we are now
going to Scotland in July instead. My initial enquiry to a specific
soaring site there was left unanswered, so here I go again: where does
one go for a possible...

Demand for CFIGs and TOW pilots by
fred
I need tow pilots...so do the other nearby glider operators. A full
time CFI is needed. Business is growing and we need help. We operate
year round and PAY our pilots.
IF you can do so...encourage your friends who might want to work in
the soaring business to get some training. Some soaring sites...

FL195, Class C, etc. by
Ian Atherton
Just a reminder that the Class C CAS is now active
in UK above FL195.
Also of note are the TEMORARY RESERVED AREAS (TRA)
which cover extensive areas of the UK FIR and allow
military traffic to operate above FL195 displacing
the Class C when active. Most of Scotland and much
of the east coast...
