Wireless head mounted microphones by
Eric Greenwell
I liked the Plantronics microphone I used to use, that clipped onto my
eyeglasses. Eventually, I got tired of the cord, which seemed to be in
the way much of the time.
Are there any eyeglass clip-on (or ear mounted) style wireless
microphones? I've seen some intriquing ear mounted "headsets" used...

Becker 3201 Radio by
[email protected]
Inherited a Becker 3201 Radio when I bought my Ventus C. Would like to
get my hands on a copy of the manual. Does anyone have an electronic
copy they could send me? If that fails, can someone tell me how to
reset the preset frequencies?

ken
I am a new owner of an LS-1F and would like to hear from LS-1F pilots.
In particular, I would like to hear from you regarding first flights
and your impressions of the feel of the controls during take-off. My
first take off was pretty normal, the second and third were not excuted
as well.
The...

LS1-F Pilots by
ken
I recently started flying an LS1-F. I would like to hear from other
LS1-F pilots and in particular what was your experience in making the
transition to the LS1-F.
On my first flights I have started with my trim set full forward. What
are your thoughts and what is your routine? Thanks
Ken

Club Information Request by
Roy Bourgeois
Friends:
My club is beginning to explore the possibility of hiring a compensated,
full or part time manager. I am interested in information from other clubs
about the relationship between club size and the hiring of paid managers as
I suspect that some clubs become too big and complex to be...

OT - ebay warning by

Just a bit off topic. As a long time soaring pilot I think this may be
of interest to the community.
I am looking at purchasing some high value items ( yacht radar and
instruments and a car navigation system ) I have done a bit of browsing
on ebay in Europe and the US and there apears to be a...

PZL Compass by
Dave Springford
I had similar problems with the PZL compass in my LS6. I refilled it
and then sealed it with epoxy, that didn't work for the reason
suggested abovein a previous message (and the reason listed below)
I learned from an older gentleman in Australia who sold me another PZL
compass that the reason...

Masak winglet info by
John Ferguson
I've acquired a 2nd hand pair for a Ventus C. Does
anyone have specs for the fitting angles of these to
the Ventus. I'm hoping that as the Ventus has detachable
tips that the wing tips will be square enough to measure
against and make things easy for me.
Any fitting info would be appreciated,
John

Five-foot-wide glider trailer? by
Bob Kuykendall
Some while ago I saw an article on the Internet about building an
oversize glider trailer. I seem to recall that it used a steel tube
truss that was about 60" wide and about the same tall. However, today I
tried all the search terms I could think of and couldn't find it. Does
anybody here remember...

Basic Training Gliders by
Justin Craig
I am surprised to read Derek suggesting that there
is no successor to the K13. In my mind the ASK21 is
the perfect successor (probably the best, most robust
trainer available) !
They may lack spinning characteristics, but in my opinion
that is no big issue.

New Mexico Fire-Devils by
Larry Pardue
Greetings:
Last week, around Wednesday, there was a large grass fire west of Portales,
New Mexico, USA. The wind was around 45 knots and it was warm.
Albuquerque television station KOB aired some video tape of the fire that I
found astounding. They showed two, what I would call, fire-devils. ...
