Day of purchase contract? by
Dico
Hello all,
Is there such a thing as a "day of purchase" contract? We've done a
title/lien search and all, but it'll be a couple weeks til the sale
actually happens. In that time a purchaser could put a new lien on the
plane. What do you do to protect yourself against this? Is there some
sort...

Baby flying bonnet by
Jesse Wright
Does anyone have plans or a link to info about making a baby flying
bonnet? It's basically a bonnet that ties onto the baby, but is
modified to provide hearing protection by adding foam/rubber earpieces
and padding. I remember reading about it a couple of years ago on one
of the pilot groups, but...

Couldn't find much help with google. Can someone give me a short course on
Course Deviation Indicators (CDIs) and their interfaces to the equipment that
drives them?
Looking at a couple of web sites, there appear to be tens of unique models of
the CDIs, a different model for each possible NAV...

How long until prop O/H by
Robert M. Gary
My Hertzile (?sp?) has almost 900 since its been torn down. I've heard
different things from different mechanics. I know the actual TBO on
the prop is now something like 20,000 hours. However, I don't want to
get stuck somewhere with a problem. How much time do most people here
put on their...

Exxon 20W50 by

Did you notice the blurb in AOPA EPILOT that Exxon has, and has been having,
deposits of grey crud in their bottles of oil, but they say it is just fine
and there is no need for them to replace it, or to pay to tear your engines
down...
Besides, there is a lot less of the crud in this months...

Fuel servo problem??? by
Robert M. Gary
Today I went out to my plane to fly and found a very odd problem. When
I started the plane after taxiing over the fuel, I could only get it to
run when the mixture was just at the edge of idle cut off. Moving it
even 1/8 forward caused the engine to die right away.
I did some diagnostics. At 1500...
