OLC Submissions and Cambridge 302 by
scooter
Can someone who is sucessfully using the DOS applications for
downloading, converting logs from the 302 and sucessfully posting to
OLC post the process? I am interested in the DOS process only.
There are 4 files mentioned on OLC and FAI web sites:
1. datacam2.exe - for downloading flight traces...

OLC Summary page - feedback requested by
Paul Remde
Hi,
I'm putting together an OLC summary web page with an overview of the key
reasons to fly in the contest, basics of the rules, types of tasks that can
be flown in each of the OLC contests, tips on each of the OLC contests.
Feedback is requested. It is a work in progress. I'm sure there are...

OLC Take-off location by
Wayne Paul
Does anyone know how the OLC calculates a flight's "take-off location?"
Two 2007-05-06 European flights (Klaus Goll and Max-Bernd Klein) have Nampa
(US/8) listed as their OLC taking-off location. OLC list my 2007-05-06
flight take-off location as 7 Bays (US/8) when in reality it was Nampa...

Even Gary Boggs' 120km/h SGS 2-32 flight that looks like a coat hangar has unexpected errors today.

OLC Update by
Ray Lovinggood
OLC now has a direct way of displaying the flight on
Google Earth. Nice! I pulled up Dick Johnson's flight
from Friday and then clicked on the Google Earth button
and I'm transported instantly to Texas.
What will they think of next?

OLC Upload from your LX Flight Computer is Back! by
Dave Springford
From OLC today:
The flights from LXNAV devices such as those of the LX9000 series can be uploaded directly into the OLC portal. The function, which was introduced in 2014, was suspended for one year for data protection reasons. In two weeks, LXNAV users will have direct reporting access to the OLC...

OLC uploading disabled? What does it mean? by
Stephen Szikora
I just read this on the Naviter SeeYou page:
The OLC team (gliding) has decided to disable the API for uploading flights directly from apps and devices to OLC. For this reason, we were forced to remove the functionality from SeeYou and Oudie / Oudie Live apps.
Hoping that this is just a temporary...

OLC US Airfields by
Doug Haluza
One thing that's new in the OLC this year is tracking of flights by
takeoff location. This is a great feature that lets people see results
summarized by takeoff location. It's a useful tool for scouting soaring
sites, or just seeing how people fly in different places.
It is also a critical...

OLC USA 2008 by
Mike the Strike
With the close of the 2008 OLC season, I have to note that two of my
colleagues at Tucson Soaring Club (Randy Acree and Tony Smolder) came
in with the overall largest number of cross-country points and TUSC as
a club overall came in third behind Albuquerque Soaring and Warner
Springs Gliders. As a...

OLC validation by
Ken Bell
Is anybody having trouble with invalid igc files in
OLC? I submitted one last week, no problem. This week
though, same process results in an invalid file.
Hope it's just pre-season sorting out of the software.

OLC validation for Cambridge 10/20/25 by
Evan Ludeman[_4_]
I'm hopeful that this is old news and that this is merely an
annoying reminder:
Those of you wishing to compete on the OLC with legacy Cambridge flight
recorders can do so (again) by using the tools available here
http://clearnav.net/main/cn-CAI-OLC.html
with best regards from ClearNav...

OLC viewing question by
Soartech
I sometimes like to see what other pilots in my area were able to do with the recent spectacular weather we've been having. So in the upper left hand corner of the screen I click on WorldNorth America USA R 1 (which is New England).
But it just shows me the longest flights in the USA for the...

OLC's annoying upload time limit by

I was okay with the old limit, which seemed to be weekly, on Tuesday. With the new limit, any flights I finish before 1500 on Saturday are lost, since I can't upload them until after I get home from work on Monday. Bummer

OLC, ENL, Start of soaring flight by
Andy[_1_]
I'd like to hear from people who submit logs to OLC using a recorder
that has no ENL (Engine Noise Level) capability and produces a log
with no ENL data.
Does OLC automatically determine the start of soaring flight, or do
you always have to set it manually? If OLC does it automatically, how
often...

OLC-Posting flights ending after 2400UT by
Go
Last year I had problems with flights completed on the west coast after
2400UT when another flight was also submitted for the next day.
In my situation I had a great (for me) competition flight which ended
after 2400UT which was submitted and accepted. Then the next day I
attempted to post another...
